On October 1, 2026, ASET hosted its Awards & Appreciation Dinner to celebrate the contributions and achievements of its registrants, volunteers and partners. Guests from government, APEGA and Engineers Canada joined the evening, which honoured outgoing council, top volunteers and service milestones.
Hosted at The Westin Downtown, guests were welcomed with a cocktail reception before moving into the ballroom for a three-course meal, with the awards and recognition program woven throughout the evening.

Event Setup & Atmosphere
- Guests were greeted with prosecco and non-alcoholic sparkling wine as they arrived, with live piano music by Matt Day setting the tone during the cocktail reception.
- Elegant florals topped the tables and drew compliments from guests throughout the night.
- Linens and napkins in ASET’s signature dark blue and silver complemented the florals and the event’s graphic design.
Awards and Program
- Awards were presented throughout the coursed meal, keeping the program moving alongside dinner.
- The Capstone of the Year award was introduced with a video summary of the winning project, and guests enjoyed meeting one of the students behind it.
- Registrant milestones were celebrated with pin presentations, bringing honourees to the stage to be recognized in front of their peers.
