At the “Mystic Woods Masquerade,” BioWare staff and their guests were invited to an enchanting evening set in a magical forest. Attendees were encouraged to don elaborate masks and dazzling costumes. Throughout the night, guests created their own fairy doors and moss terrariums, showed off their costumes at the photo booth, sang their hearts out at karaoke, and more.

Guests were greeted by a woodland statement piece with tree branches, moss, greenery and mushrooms surrounding the main entrance. The BioWare office came alive with giant floral installations and shimmering lights. The masquerade was an unforgettable experience of fairytale magic, where reality and fantasy intertwined in a celebration of creativity.

This event included two open bars with specialty cocktails tailored to the event theme: “Mystic Woods Old-Fashioned” and “Green Forest Whisper.” Food was served in stations, including a sushi bar, flatbread bar, and kafta station. Belgium waffle bites were served as a late night snack.

Activations at the party included:

  • Ethereal Terrarium Workshop
    • Guests got their hands dirty to create a tiny, mossy ecosystem any fairy would dream of. These terrariums add a touch of green and magic to any space.
  • Fairy Door Creations
    • Guests designed their own fairy doors, inspired by the whimsy of woodland creatures and the sparkle of holiday magic. Once complete, they were able to add their door to a collaborative installation, put it in their terrariums, or bring them home to hang as an ornament.
  • “Spellbound Strokes” Face Painting and “The Faerie’s Mark” Tattoos
    • Glitter tattoos and face painting were available with a large variety of colours and sparkles for people to choose from.
  • “The Enchanted Frame” Photo Booth
    • The photo booth used a green screen backdrop, with the photos printing to a custom mystical background.
    • All photo booth props were custom, including masquerade masks, wands, a cloak, mushroom hats, and more.
  • “Spellbound Serenades” Karaoke
    • A karaoke party was hosted with couches for guests to lounge on while watching their peers sing their favourite songs.
  • “The Cave of Solitude” Quiet Room
    • For those wanting a quick sensory break from the party, a quiet room was available with noise-cancelling headphones, and, as a fun play on the mystical theme of the night, tarot cards were also available.
