Edmonton Unlimited’s Launch Party came home on October 8, 2026, bringing the largest networking event from Startup Week back to Edmonton Unlimited’s office and Abbey Glen Park. Founders, students, entrepreneurs and community builders gathered to celebrate the people, companies and momentum shaping Edmonton’s tech and innovation scene, with 10 feature companies in the spotlight.

With the Launch Party taking place alongside CFR, a farm-inspired theme set the tone for the evening, bringing a little of that western spirit to downtown Edmonton. The “Diggin Alberta Tech” branding carried through the night, from an ice sculpture to the trucker hats guests wore home.

Highlights from the evening included:

Outdoor Activations

  • A custom ice sculpture featuring the “Diggin Alberta Tech” logo became a standout moment of the evening. The sculpture had built-in ice shelves to display offerings from the bar.
  • A live country band kept the energy high, with plaid seating and Adirondack chairs creating cozy spots to mingle.

Indoor Activations

  • Guests received trucker hats branded with the “Diggin Alberta Tech” logo as they arrived, and many wore them all night.
  • A selfie robot photo activation invited guests to capture the night with a custom frame.
  • A DJ kept the party going inside.

Local Foodpreneurs

  • The menu put Edmonton’s local food entrepreneurs in the spotlight, featuring local makers across different food stations.
  • Outdoors, barbecue and taco in a bag were served with local sauces, salsa and chips.
  • Indoors, guests enjoyed live cooking stations, a pretzel station, a honey dessert station and a hot chocolate station.
  • A zero-proof bar gave guests plenty of options beyond canned cocktails.
