As a part of Edmonton Unlimited’s Startup Week, on October 6th, 2026 our team proudly collaborated with them on Women in Tech and Innovation: Courageous Ambition.
Presented by Alberta Blue Cross, this inspiring evening brought together women in technology, entrepreneurship, and leadership to explore personal well-being, resilience, and the courage required to navigate professional and personal growth.
The evening encouraged guests to reflect on the defining moments that shape how we lead, challenge ourselves, and redefine what sustainable success looks like.
The inviting atmosphere at the Citadel Theatre encouraged honest conversation as four accomplished female panelists shared personal stories, challenges and defining moments in their leadership journeys. Moderated by Tara McCarthy of CBC Radio, the discussion featured Alberta Blue Cross’ Director of Wellness, Melanie Fuller; Vice President of Data and Technology, Sam Horvath; Sophie Gray, Founder of DiveThru; and Founder of Gummy Nutrition Lab, Jolene Ali.
That spirit of collaboration extended beyond the stage. A thoughtfully curated cocktail reception featured hand-passed appetizers, allowing attendees to mingle and build connections with ease.
Alberta Blue Cross’s interactive wellness activation encouraged further reflection on mental health, personal balance, and sustainable success.
As the evening came to a close, guests departed with a ‘Courageous Ambition’ notebook, a thoughtful keepsake from Edmonton Unlimited, as a reminder to carry the evening’s inspiration and motivation forward.
