Lac Ste. Anne Metis Community Association hosted their Mâmawihitowin Cultural Gathering event at Heritage Park. The event brought together families, friends, and community to celebrate Indigenous and Metis culture, music, food, and traditions. From morning until evening, the park was filled with activity as guests enjoyed live performances, cultural demonstrations, artisan market, and community connection.

- Cultural Experiences & Activities
- Guests explored the Artisan Market and watched live demonstrations including Fallen Mountain Soap making and MJ Belcourt’s intricate porcupine quill art.
- The Trapper’s Tent, horseback and packing demonstrations, and Kaykima Wilderness displays offered visitors a glimpse into traditional skills and knowledge.
- A kid’s activity area kept children engaged throughout the day, while wagon rides and horseback rides offered a relaxed way to explore the park grounds.
- Blueberry Stage Performances
- Blueberry Stage hosted a full lineup of talented performers including Brianna Lizotte, Mary Stinchcombe, fiddle master Calvin Vollrath, Nîpisîy ᓂᐱᓯᔨ, and Ivy Brendsma with Michelle and Lee Arcand.
- Later in the evening, Jess Lee energized the crowd before the night closed with the soulful and high-energy sounds of the Stirling John Band, whose performance had the audience singing and dancing along.

- Food trucks lined the park throughout the day, with fresh bannock and grilled corn available for guests to sample.
- Closing remarks from Lars Callieou wrapped up the day as families stayed to chat and enjoy the lingering energy of the celebration.
