The Friend Raiser Gala 2026 invited guests to enjoy an evening under the aurora borealis, gathering to support the Sturgeon Community Hospital Foundation for their annual signature fundraising event of the season.

Impactful storytelling elements and a compelling keynote from Chief of Surgery, Dr. Jennifer Andruchow, set the stage for the fundraising appeal. Auctioneer Harry Santa-Olalla’s infectious enthusiasm sparked a wave of giving that raised over $700,000 throughout the program and over a $1,000,000 for the event as a whole.

Guests began the night with a complimentary champagne reception. A custom menu was created by the Edmonton Convention Centre, with wine pairings curated by Graham Versailles, one of Edmonton’s top sommeliers. The night closed on a high note with Five on the Side delivering a live performance that kept everyone on the dance floor.
