Objective: With Brian Vaasjo’s recent retirement announcement as the acting CEO of Capital Power, Tycoon was hired to plan and execute a memorable and curated retirement event on May 10th at the Art Gallery of Alberta for 300 attendees.
Outcome: The event was catered by Bridges Catering and featured food stations throughout the main floor spaces, including hand passed options. A bar, Prosecco station, and non-alcoholic beverages stations were set up throughout.
Guests were invited to write best wishes messages to Brian in the guest book.
A photo booth from Flashworks was set up with a backdrop which featured Capital Power’s icon made out of fresh and dried florals from Fabloomosity.
Live entertainment from The Whitlows played during cocktail hour, which led into the formal program, and then was rounded out with mingling for the rest of the evening. All of the gallery spaces were open for guests to explore and guided tours were led by gallery curators.
