The objective of the show home opening and community barbeque was to provide an opportunity for potential residents to check out the show home interiors from builders: Homes by Avi, Pacesetter, and Cantiro. This was also an opportunity to provide a fun and free community event for potential and current residents of the community, while showing off the benefits of living in the community.
The show homes were located in the Rosenthal community, and included activations in the Rosenthal playground and spray park. This was a free event for anyone to attend, while attendance was recorded by a physical count of each entry into each showhome, number of food portions served, and other estimates from vendors.
In each of the show homes there were activities to draw in patrons. These activities included a zero-proof mixology activation, charcuterie activation with a live demonstration throughout the day, and custom designed paint-your-own-cookies. There was also a QR code contest in which participants had to enter all 3 show homes to be entered into a draw to win a round of golf for 4 people.
Outside of the show homes there was a golf cart shuttle that helped to move patrons between the showhomes and spray park event sites. Other activations and activities at the event included::
- A custom Keith Haring-inspired craft station
- Bubbles, hula hoops and lawn games
- Bubble soccer
- An inflatable park that included a slide, velcro wall, and bungee run
- A Fire Department visit included activity books, tours of the truck and the opportunity to sit inside the truck for photo ops
- Face painting
- Custom coloring sheets
Free food trucks were also located at the Rosenthal playground for patrons to order from a variety of food options.
The overall objective of the event was to create a balance between the activations in the show home area and the park. This led to the decision to highlight the 3 activations in the show homes, place activities in the cul-de-sac outside the show homes and offer the golf cart shuttle service to attendees.
