Tycoon Events is a corporate event planning company producing events for organisations across Canada. We are based in Edmonton and have delivered conferences, galas, launches and appreciation events for national and international brands. As a corporate event planner, Canada-wide work means producing events wherever your people are, not only where we are.

Our client work includes Coldwell Banker Canada's Gen Blue Canada conference, Syngenta Canada, BioWare, Capital Power and TELUS World of Science.

Corporate event management, Canada-wide

We produce corporate events Canada-wide, and national events carry problems local events do not: delegates arriving from several provinces, multiple time zones to schedule around, travel and accommodation to coordinate, and venues being assessed from a distance. As a corporate event management company, we plan around those constraints from the start rather than treating them as logistics to solve later.

Corporate event services, Canada-wide

  • Full event management — brief through to on-site delivery
  • Conference and summit management, including registration and speakers
  • Awards, gala and recognition event production
  • Product launches, openings and announcement events
  • Appreciation, anniversary and milestone events
  • Event design and styling
  • Event consulting for teams running their own events

Corporate event production, Canada-wide

Beyond planning, we produce. Corporate event production covers staging, lighting, sound, screens and show calling — the technical layer that decides whether a programme lands or drags. Running planning and production together removes the gap where responsibility usually gets lost.

Working across provinces — travel, venues and logistics

For events outside our region we travel for site visits, build supplier relationships locally, and run the event on the ground. Practically, that means assessing venues against what your programme actually needs, planning delegate travel and accommodation as part of the event rather than an afterthought, and accounting for shipping and setup time when production is moving between cities.

Corporate events delivered for national brands

More than seventy-five projects are listed in our event production portfolio.

How a national event comes together

Scoping and budget

We establish what the event has to achieve, who is travelling, and what budget exists — including the travel and accommodation costs that national events carry and single-city events do not. Getting those into the budget at the start avoids the mid-project squeeze that forces cuts to the programme itself.

Host city and venue

Choosing where a national event happens is partly a logistics question and partly a cost one: flight connections, hotel inventory near the venue, and what the room can carry technically. We assess venues against your programme in person rather than from a floorplan PDF.

Delegate travel and accommodation

Room blocks, arrival scheduling and transfers are planned as part of the event rather than delegated to attendees. When people arrive across a whole day from several time zones, the first session has to be built around that reality.

Programme and production

The run of show, staging, lighting, sound and screen content are developed together, then rehearsed. Production is scheduled around shipping and setup time when equipment is moving between cities.

On-site delivery

Our team travels and runs the event on the ground. The people who planned it are the people delivering it, which is where most of the risk in a national event actually sits.

Conference and summit management

Multi-day conferences bring registration, concurrent programming, speaker logistics and delegate communications on top of the production itself. We manage conferences end to end, or take on the production layer where an internal team is handling the programme. See conference management for detail.

Live, hybrid and virtual corporate events

For a national audience, format is a genuine strategic decision. A virtual or hybrid event removes travel cost and widens who can attend; a live event does things for relationships and culture that a screen does not. We produce all three, and we will tell you when the format you are considering will not serve what you are trying to achieve.

Corporate event planning FAQs

Do you travel outside Alberta for events?

Yes. We travel for site visits and to deliver events, and we quote travel transparently within the event budget.

Can you manage an event where the attendees fly in from across Canada?

Yes. Multi-province delegate travel, accommodation blocks and arrival scheduling are a normal part of the conferences and summits we run.

Do you handle production as well as planning?

Yes — staging, lighting, sound, screens and show calling are handled alongside planning rather than subcontracted and left unmanaged.

What size of organisation do you usually work with?

Our portfolio ranges from national brands to regional foundations and associations. The approach scales; the standard of production does not change with the budget.

Where are you based?

Edmonton, Alberta. See our Alberta event planning page for provincial work, or contact us to talk about an event anywhere in Canada.
